Maxaura is an independent consultancy specialising in the compliance, design and testing of pressure systems. Its engineers provide impartial advice on the safety, design and efficiency of high and low pressure compressed air, laboratory and industrial gas, and refrigeration systems.
The team supports clients from initial system design through to ongoing compliance management, including written schemes of examination, in-service examinations, breathing air quality testing and Local Exhaust Ventilation testing.

Maxaura has worked in pressure systems management since 1991. Over more than three decades, its independent engineers have completed over 5,000 projects across organisations that depend on safe, compliant pressure systems.
Vicen acquired Maxaura in April 2026, when the director decided to sell the business to facilitate his retirement plans. Maxaura operates in the TIC sector (training, inspection and certification), where UK law requires businesses operating pressure systems to undergo recurring inspections. Vicen was drawn to Maxaura's long, profitable track record, its sticky client base, low turnover and a defensible niche.
Since the acquisition, Maxaura has remained one of the UK's leading pressure systems consultants, with operational assistance provided by Vicen.
